 Stored GPS logs are transferred when the unit is recovered allowing routes of travel and stopping times for up to 18 days of logs to be displayed on a digital map. Travel and stopping points can be displayed at street level detail.  Uses an internal motion detector to shut off the unit if the vehicle is vibration free for 5 minutes. This allows the unit to operate long periods of time on a minimal battery supply. The Scout can record location data every 10, 20, 30, and 60 seconds when the vehicle is moving. If you select 10 seconds or 20 seconds the tracking detail will be very good. This is good if you want to verify delivery routes where the stops are short and numerous. By selecting 30 or 60 seconds you extend the battery life and still maintain accurate documentation of the stops and starts; perfect GPS tracking for investigations of suspicious behavior.  The Activity Reports, lists every stop over a set number of minutes (you select) and provides a detailed mileage log for tax purposes and service records. For the businessman the Activity Reports provides fast - important information. DATA PLAYBACK: The Playback of tracking data is only available with The Scout and provides detailed tracking information: Displays the route the vehicle took including turns and bends, the location of stops and starts, the time of stops and starts, the speed and direction of the vehicle. This is provided visually on a digital map with street level detail. Playback allows management the opportunity to verify fleet activity and assess liability based upon employee's driving and work habits.
